Terms & Conditions for Using Hammer & Cross
By becoming a member of Hammer & Cross you agree to the following terms and conditions
Beta Testing & Membership: From January 2008 to September 2008 we are offering
users access as Beta Test Members, for schools it is free(please select
payment by Cheque and we will activate your membership a.s.a.p.), for public members
there is a nominal fee (see Membership Fees for cost details). As a test member we ask you to
report any errors you may come across, please check the System Status & Reported Errors
page before sending an error to
support@hammereandcross.com For every error reported we will extend your membership
by a varying period of time from 1 day (spelling mistake) to a month (major system
error) where possible please send as much info as possible and a screen shot or
the error, and include your name and Membership Number.
Please be patient as it may take some time to fix an error
as we are only a very small development team.
- All Images information sound video and all other resources held on the Hammer & Cross web Portal, remain at all
times the both the physical and intellectual property of Longship Trading Company.
- Longship Trading Company holds the copyright ©2008 for all Images information sound video and all other
resources held on the Hammer & Cross web portal.
- All Images information sound video and all other resources held on the Hammer & Cross web portal can be used by
schools, educational establishment’s pupils/students (and historical sites by prior permission) for any not for
profit educational based purposes and projects.
- Wherever and when pictures, information and any other resource obtained from the Hammer & Cross web portal are used, a
reference is required to stating the source of the material was obtained from the Hammer & Cross web portal and
web based resources should contain a link back to the
www.hammerandcross.com web site.
- Use of pictures, information and any other resource obtained from the Hammer & Cross web portal outside of these
terms and conditions may result in membership being suspended and possibly cancelled with no refund of remaining
membership fee, and possible legal proceedings.
- Missuse of member’s username and passwords may result in membership being suspended and possibly cancelled with no
refund of remaining membership fee.
- All membership problems should in the first instance be raised by sending an email to
membership@hammerandcross.com including problems you have
using the PayPal web site so that we are able to quickly rectify a problem.
- Any technical problems with the Hammer & Cross web portal should be sent by email to
support@hammereandcross.com
- If at any time you are unable to access the Hammer & Cross web portal due to technical problems on our side
(subject to conformation) we will extend you membership period by double the length of time access was denied
to you.
- All Hammer & Cross member’s personnel information held by Longship Trading Company is subject to the provisions
of the Data Protection Act 1998. We guarantee will not share this information with any other body organisation
or person, and it will only ever be used by Longship Trading Company for the purposes informing you of changes
to Hammer & Cross and other Longship Trading Company related projects and events.
- Longship Trading Company have the right to change delete, add or remove content to the Hammer & Cross web portal
at any time and without any prior notice.
- Longship Trading Company has done and will do it’s very best to insure that all information held on the Hammer & Cross web portal is as accurate and correct as possible, but is not and cannot be held liable or responsible for any errors contained
within the portal.
- Longship Trading Company reserves the right to cancell the membership of any memeber
for any of the following reasons
13.1 Abuses the copyright exceptions
13.2 Failure to pay membership fees
13.3 Web site security violations
13.4 Anything that is likley to causing damage to the
web portal, the image and reputation of
Hammer and Cross or the Longship
Trading Company.
- Under no circumstances can any type of membership be transferred or shared with another person or group, any
person or group found doing so will have there membership terminated forthwith
- Membership entitles members to use the Hammer & Cross web portal on no more
than the specified number of computers detailed below for their type of membership
15.1 School/Group Membership: Up to a maximum of 50 computers
housed in the same building
15.2 Single User Public Membership: Maximum 1 Computer
(although all members of a family
can use a single membership on that single computer)
